There are people that claim that there is no single good Jabber client out there (I’m one of them). Many of them claims that ICR rules. Most of them claim that the only way to connect IRC is text-mode based client.
They should love irssi-xmpp plugin. Seamlessly integrates in IrSSI, making it a full-blown Jabber client.
August 15th, 2008How do you get this plugin to work? I’ve installed it and loaded the modules in my copy of irssi, but I don’t see any documentation anywhere about the commands you use to connect.

November 9th, 2009type /load xmpp
or make a startup script:
~/.irssi/startup
load xmpp
(maybe LOAD instead of load)
if you have compiled the program and the plugin in your home directory, you will need to tell to irssi where is libloudmouth*.so
